From what I've heard, Landrieu as mayor sounds too similar to Giulliani when he was mayor. I'm wary until I find out more.
So he gave a speech. An exceptional speech, but so did Oprah.
No discounting him, but I suspect there's stuff beyond the speech that might make me question--well heck, there already is. There is disgruntled murmurs about his mayorship. "...he knew that running statewide after the decisions he’d make as mayor would be impossible—but he was fine with that trade-off to get his dream job." Gotta say, I don't understand you two. Such easy dismissal on really no grounds at all. I know you probably have favored candidates, but why stick knives in at this point? So what that he's from an old New Orleans political family.

No easy dismissal at all. I said, "I'm wary until I find out more." ... "Not discounting him..."
Hardly words of dismissal.
I haven't dismissed him. I'm simply going to proceed with caution.

You cannot be serious.
