I Read it. This goes well beyond Montana. The Montana specifics seems like a rather small part of a much broader national story.

I betting part of the issue in Kallispell is that it’s one of the super hot Montana real estate markets, people from “away” moving there, houses are crazy expensive, especially north of that in Whitefish. (Which may be the most expensive in the state) I imagine that many being priced out of the market does not help any of the political hostility in the area at all.

Yes, that's a pattern that's happened over and over again. It's not just being priced out of the market, in many cases (Santa Fe in the early 80s, for example), homes held for generations had to be sold because the families couldn't pay the property taxes. Ugh.

A neighbor moved to Montana a few years ago. He
was going to build condos.
He introduces himself to strangers with his name and "I am a Libertarian."
That should go well in the tense situation there. Smiler
Hope he hit the hotspot when selling the condos.
His marijuana bill must equal that of a good sized mortgage. Big Grin
