I don't know if I have the back-of-the-skull growth they're talking about but I do have a protuberance there, at the base of the skull. Noticeable enough that when I went shopping for a bike helmet, I really had to try on many in a store to find one that fit right.

But I don't think it has to do with smartphone or tablet use...it was there long before digital tech.
