I use duckduckgo for just about everything.

And Opera. And Protonmail, and Signal messaging for sensitive texts.

Like the email privacy thing.

I wonder if the duck.com email forwarding is for incoming only? Sounds like it's just a forwarder, so replies would come from the hidden (regular) address?
