I only use it in the back - not the front.

My sisters tell me that Costco TP has been available at Costco. We don’t need any right now, but it’s good to know. That’s our usual brand.

I remodeled our downstairs powder room because Costco TP was too big for the holder. If we were changing the holder, might as well do the 1980’s bathroom with the art deco lights! (Craftsman-ish house with art deco lights, oy.) Joke was on me; we then got a cat who shreds TP, so now all TP is locked up in cabinet or canisters.

Heard this interesting podcast about TP. It’s from 99 Percent Invisible by Roman Mars. I could listen to him explain stuff all day. Here’s the episode: Wipe Out

LISTEN TO ME!

Stop worrying about this TP sh!t and bring yourselves up to the civilized standard that Italy, France, and pretty much the rest of the civilized world has enjoyed since the invention of the bidet in late 1700s.

Wiping bacteria around your bottom using nothing but paper is not very hygienic, and is actually pretty damn gross.

I mean, if a bird, sh!t on you arm, would you be really be satisfied with just wiping it off with TP? NO, you would want to wash your arm with at least some water, preferably soap and water.

You can get attachments and full seats for anywhere from $30 to $90. Full on electric models run a couple to a few hundred. Some top of the line models reach into the $1k range. I have never spent more than $90 and that was for a full replacement seat. We have 5 attachments or seats in our house. We have 6 toilets total and I am waiting for the 6th attachment to arrive.

I am actually mad that I did not know about these devices for most of my life.

Please don’t yell at me Mark Big Grin

1) we can’t retrofit a bidet to our older toilets without doing a lot more work than we can afford.

2) what I’m really worried about is not toilet paper so much as food, masks, rubbing alcohol, supplies in general.

I checked two week ago and there were really long delivery times for bidet kits. They were selling out.

I wasn't yelling at you specifically SK. Wink

It's just that, it seemed to me that my repeated statements were falling on deaf ears.

Tons of TP at my local walmart today.

On the other hand, I can't find a bottle of formula 409 anywhere. I used to get 409 at Costco where they sold it in packs that contained a normal size spray bottle and then a gallon refill bottle. Costco discontinued it years ago and I haven't seen the gallon refill size anywhere since so I finally broke down and ordered a case of them (probably enough formula 409 to last me the rest of my life but you couldn't buy just 1 gallon, you had to buy a case of 4) like 2 months ago -- just pre- the whole corona madness. It was on backorder at the time and since then they've pushed back the delivery date 3 times - now it's scheduled for mid May. And now I can't find any of the normal size apray bottles anywhere either. I might have to switch to a different cleaner but I've been using Formula 409 for like 25 years -- I'm not pleased at the prospect of finding something new, LOL!

My Mom used 409. I haven’t seen it in stores around here in a long time.

I see the brand was bought up by Clorox, who has their own line of spray cleaners. They may be phasing it out.
