I have never heard of any of them: High levels of aflatoxin

Me neither. Aflatoxin is particularly deadly; nukes the liver in no time. Our vet tells clients that the single best thing you can do for your pet's health is to cook for them at home. Takes a bit of effort, but we thought it was well worth it. We did the kibble route for the first 15 years we had pets, but switched to home cooked for the last 25. We saw a great improvement in the overall health of all the animals.

Looks like it’s mostly dog food. A relief for those of us retirees who can still afford to dine on the nicer brands of cat food…

Doug! I've never heard of them, either. I passed it along to my daughter, just in case. But her ancient and completely lovable long-haired dachshund has to eat fancy-schmancy hydrolyzed food, which is definitely not on this list.

Thanks for the heads up. It’s all fancy schmancy hydrolyzed protein here, too. But not sure about the kids’ cats, so I’ll pass it along.
