The town was deliberately designed and built with various climate change risks in mind. Who knows, over time, we may discover other natural disasters that this town cannot deal with, but for now, this town survived Hurricane Ian relatively unscathed. There may be lessons there for other new towns being planned for hurricane prone areas.

That's pretty interesting. Hopefully some of those ideas will percolate to other areas, in particular those damaged by Ian and that may be pretty much in a ground-up rebuilding mode. Now is the time to implement different strategies rather than simply rebuilding the same.

Similar to what CA did after the Northridge earthquake. Houses in CA are much more substantial now, but they're also more expensive. Let's see what happens in Florida.
