Powell’s. Locally owned here. Big online, too!

Have to admit I go for free stuff.

Project Gutenberg for older works.

For most everything else, my town's library has an amazing selection of e-books via several sources (CloudLibrary and Hoopla).

I had moved away from Amazon..

Now, I am back to Amazon but for Kindle. I am torn..it takes away from a warehouse worker yet it saves them from exposure for a non-essential items.

And for amazing historical texts, archive.org will wile away many hours....slave narratives, recipes, biographies...you name it...all online.

I do most of my reading on a kindle; I can see better than in physical books. I can make the font bigger!

But for books for others, Powell’s or Broadway Books (small local shop in my neighborhood).

I use Kindle on my iPad and lapto.
A larger font and an inability to throw paper books out make Kindle a necessity.

Thanks for that tip. I've bookmarked the site. Even at a brief glance, I saw lots of things worth looking at.
