“Born on the Bayou” is a song by a band named Credence Clearwater Revival. It isn’t what this topic is about but it’s related. I saw the fictional drama movie “Shy People” recently. It’s about a family living deep in the Louisiana bayou country. Never been to Louisiana nor to a bayou myself. I was just wondering:

In the bayou areas where there are no roads and just water ways, what do the residents use for a house address?

In the bayou areas where there aren’t any water delivery pipes, where do they get clean water? I doubt that Culligan Man makes swamp calls or do they?

How do bayou residents cope with the Louisiana Air Force (mosquitos)? It must be unbearable for them.
