ShiroKuroCan anyone help identify this march?
One of my friends in Japan posted that in the Japan National Diet Library, this march is archived as Stars and Stripes Forever by Sousa, but it sure doesn't sound like that. (More like the secret love child of an affair between the Stars and Stripes Forever and the William Tell Overture...)
By the way, I tried Shazam and it couldn't identify it either.
Anyway, here is the link on the National Diet Library's page:

rontunerNot Stars and Stripes...
Almost sounds like a gallop or circus march?

Piano*DadNow THIS is Stars & Stripes!
Horowitz! Here's a Sousa galop (short for galoppade). Lively dance music in double time. Rontuner already referred to circus march.

OMG what a great arrangement!!!!
Ok, don't hate me... but I really want Lang Lang to play that, maybe 1.25 to 1.5 times faster than Horowitz....

rontunerThe melody sounds familiar - perhaps we sight-read in high school band at a much slower tempo??

ShiroKuroI played in a marching band in JH and maybe one year of HS, but I don't think I've heard this before. I could be wrong of course, my marching band days seem very very long ago at this point! :P
