I've only seen it used on racing suits.

I've only seen it used on racing suits.

(They also used to use Nomex lacing tape — flat string — to tie up wire bundles on aeroplanes and aeroplane engines. It’s fireproof, tough, and doesn’t stretch. I have a few spool ends from the factory surplus store. It’s good for repairing your juggling torches.

Now, they use Teflon zip-ties.)
