There was a brilliant thread on Twitter by Tate Reeves, the conservative governor of Mississippi, about herd immunity.

Basically, if you look at the worst day Mississippi has had for COVID infections so far, and if you underassume that you only need 40% of the population to get the disease to achieve herd immunity ... you'd still need a year and a half of more than the worst day ever, every single day, to reach those numbers.

His bottom line ... WEAR A MASK.
