Cool. I started rewatching the old Original, star treks. I used to *love* them. I found I couldn’t cope this time around. Partly it’s that the pacing is different than shows are nowadays, I find I get irritated with it.
It's mostly nostalgia for me when I watch the old episodes. I get tired of Kirk falling in and out of love in fifty-five minutes, for instance. But I do admire what they were trying to do in terms of social commentary, even if I do have to stop every few minutes and remind myself that it was the Sixties and those ideas really were pretty groundbreaking.
