Well, yeah, quality sheet music is to tough to work as toilet paper.

Yes, Bach. I can play a few of the easier P&Fs in the first Well-Tempered Clavier. I read through some of the others now and then, hoping to find a new one to work on. I've played all the Inventions, some better than others. The Inventions book I have has some Sinfonias, too, which I believe are basically three-voice fugues. I've never worked on any of those, but I think I'll give them a try.

Actually, my fingers do feel rusty, so I think that Hanon is probably a good plan, at least for a while. Czerny isn't bad, just to change things up. I have the easy, intermediate, and early advanced Music for Millions books, plus the Sonatinas book and a book of twentieth century pieces by the same publisher and editor. I've played a lot out of the intermediate book, and a reasonable amount of the early advanced one and the modern one. The sonatinas don't grab me, so that one was a waste of money, but that's the breaks. I read through the early advanced one in the early days of lockdown, and I think it helped me brush up my sightreading. I was enjoying piano less, just because I was having trouble reading with my bifocals, but I got a new pair made for mid-distance tasks and it has made a huge difference.
