Florida will be the first key to watch. If it goes blue that will be a very strong signal of the national outcome as a landslide. Arizona is another. We should know its result by midnight unless it's a paper thin margin.

And a geezerly (but not completely) criticism: what is with the current phase of creating color-coded graphs where the different colors are just densities of the very same shade? You always have to keep comparing the color shade against its neighbors (is this the middle one? is this the dark one?) It's not that hard to pick complementary colors, people.

(They're also almost impossible to read on a printout or small screen like a phone).
