Joker tells the story of a psychologically disturbed man, through trials and tribulations, learns that his life is not a tragedy like he always thought, but a “comedy” instead, without regard to the usually accepted meaning of the word “comedy.”
It is a very thoughtfully crafted, very competently produced film. No superhuman action, no massive CGI sequence. Just a very well told story. Despite its DC Comic origin, as a motion picture, this is a piece of art. (What’s wrong with the studios that make DC Comic films? Their “villain” films are so much better then their “superhero” films.)
