2nd Cabinet Member: Betsy DeVos. A powerful symbol of the corruption that is this administration. A horrible human being.

Suddenly she has sprouted a conscience? I'm not buying it.

They just don’t want to be asked to invoke the 25th Amendment.

I'm not either. The water is accumulating in the hold and the rats are noticing.

Pence has said he won't invoke the 25th. Trump's gritted teeth semi-concession occurred shortly after that news leaked.

Draw your own conclusions about any possible correlation.

Noooo!

People, we're riding a winning streak like nothing I've ever seen.

We won the presidency with a plain vanilla candidate with modest political skills and elected the first black/female/Asian VP.

We kept the house.

We won the senate, somehow beating two sitting senators with a black preacher and the first Jewish senator in the south and the youngest in a generation.

If that wasn't enough, Trump just strapped dynamite to his chest and blew himself up. Even Mitch McConnell and Lindsay Graham ran from the blast zone. People are fleeing the GOP, leaving the party in the fiendish hands of Ted Cruz, who has blood on his hands.

And people want to spend the next couple of weeks trying to impeach Trump?

Oh, heck no. Let's not say or do anything that will change the headline here. Let's not give Fox some new talking points. Let's not start looking like wild-eyed, vengeful liberals.

Let's just sit here and enjoy the win. Can we do that, for once?

Even at the prospect that on January 19 he will pardon himself, his children, his cabinet, and crazy roody?

People need to be held accountable.

And he must be prohibited from ever holding office ever again.

Any attempt to remove him will fail.

Period.

So what's the point again?

I think PJ's concerns (and that of others) are that:

1) Without being impeached, he might continue being a rallying point for his "True Believing" followers. I.e., Running in 2024 and possibly other offices. (I think one point getting through this time, is that the Constitution's laws can not be circumvented.

2) Between now and Biden's inauguration, he just might do something really destructive for whatever reason - leaving with a bang. That he remains a powder keg, and one with unparalleled power.

I cannot think of a better way of rallying Trump's base or provoking him into doing something insane than to launch a doomed effort to deprive him of his last 10 days in office.
