After shot #4, finally some antibodies
I was an early adopter of the booster shot, getting my 3rd Pfizer back in May.

But still didn’t have detectable antibodies.

Well three weeks ago I got a fourth shot, this time a Moderna. I also took a two week break from a medicine that inhibits antibody formation.

Now I finally have a goodly amount of antibodies. We don’t know what level is actually protective, but my level is in the ballpark of a ‘normal’ vaccinated person. So I’ll take it.

So are you going to do periodic titers to see how those levels hold?

Moderna > Pfizer??

Or immunosuppresants?

Great!

I wonder if it was the "mix and match" approach of switching to Moderna that worked? Is there an option to add the J&J for a different technology for the next?

I think we're getting hints of that. Some studies seem to show that the level of antibodies for people who got Moderna are higher than for Pfizer people.

The dose for Moderna is three times the dose for the Pfizer. And I think people who got Moderna have been having more side effects after vaccination.

So many unanswered questions...

Was certainly true for me. I'd do it again anyway.

I had reactions to Moderna (fever, confusion) but only one day. My wife got the same shots but had no reaction.
