I hadn't heard of this movie before now. Though that's not surprising, I never hear about any movies unless people talk about them on WTF :P

So, is it a sort of adapted true story?

Not really. It's like an allegory, sort of. And I'm not sure of that.

But it is beautifully filmed and acted, and I'm still thinking about it today. It was pretty powerful, but I think it also spoke to me as a former resident of SF and also a person of color.
