The reporting on this issue is so dishonest. Back in 12-13 the media was pretty good at pointing out that the pipeline didn’t actually cross tribal lands, though that would often be buried in a later paragraph. But for a number of years now they’ve stopped mentioning that altogether.
I’ll bet a substantial majority of their audience thinks the pipeline actually does cross their land.
This is our side’s ‘death panels’. Both started as activist propaganda, got uncritically reported/amplified by sympathetic media, until it’s just a truth accepted by the faithful.

I'm glad to see our side willing to use inherent powers that were once thought verboten. If Trump is going to blast through norms, we have to be prepared to do the same. It has to be a level playing field.
