I haven’t been to IHOP in years. Maybe decades. I had a breakfast meeting there today and I was very impressed! 8 different omelettes and they have real flavor! I got a poblano omelette that would be too spicy for a lot of people but was perfect for me. Garnished generously with avocados. I had no idea IHOP was offering food like this. Winner, winner!

Poblano omelette? I'll bet you only get those at the California IHOPs.

We go to IHOP sometimes, Mr. SK likes it a lot!

Never would have tried an IHOP. The one that was here is gone. Will look for one in Tucson.

The one here is in our regular rotation. Mostly good—depends on the day...I usually get a veggie omelet

Does your local IHOP have poblano omelettes?

Mine does. Just looked it up. A whopping 1060 calories, but I'd bet that includes the pancakes.

Probably just as good without the shredded beef. I love poblanos.

I skipped the pancakes, which made the dish more or less Keto compliant. Pancake syrup makes me shake like a dog passing peach pits. I'm not sure what those little green chilis are but they pack quite a wallop. Serranos?

Probably jalapenos, judging from the diameter of the slices.

Says they are Serranos, which I also love. Bring the heat.

Good diner food is one of the best things in the world. And IHOP breakfast is good diner food. | |||

Yes. I'm not big on meat in my omelettes unless it's diced ham in a Denver-style omelette. I think I did order it once and picked out the meat. IIRC it was good.
