My P&M lived there for a year. Urg. But... anyone know Dallas and have any suggestions for things to do, places to see, people to visit?

Norman is not too far. Just sayin'. (Depending on our travel schedules. Mary Anna and I are likely headed in opposite directions at some point during that time ... her to Florida, me to Oregon and/or upstate NY.)

You could take an excursion to the LBJ ranch. I'm looking for a pom pom emoticon but not finding it.

We lived in Dallas and Fort Worth in the 80’s and favored Ft. Worth over Dallas hands down. Others have mentioned the typical Dallas attractions. We liked the Texas vibe in Fort Worth. Tornadoes and storms have hit downtown over the years, but I’ve heard it has been rebuilt since we were there and is even better now. From stockyards to arts and music (jazz in particular), Fort Worth has something to offer. At least check it out if you have transportation available.

Yes, but the dogs have established squatters' rights. On the other hand, we have guest bedrooms galore.
