The beginning of the backlash against economic refugees
And just wait til the climate refugees start.
(Like Bangladeshis whose already overpopulated landmass starts to be buried under mudslides from the melting Himalayas!)

Greece expels already accepted boat people

Remember that heart-rending photo of the little drowned boy whose overfilled raft didn't make it to shore (in Greece!)? When will the Western world start to harden its heart even to the neediest from the Third World (and most innocent for their climate-caused plight*)?

Well, perhaps I've already answered my own question. It's starting now in Greece, where they've not only refused entry to the desperate, but are retroactively expelling them to certain death. Certainly seems clear there's no more room at the inn! Frowner

*Aggravated at present by COVID-caused economic casualties to their own citizenry. All that economic loss undoubtedly accelerated the inevitable swell of climate change refugees. From: storms, dead fishing zones, rising seas, lost croplands, famines, wildfires...
