The Ides of March are not know for good news.
In February I felt an itching spot on my back. Bob took a picture. It was identical to
pictures of basal cell carcinomas.
Sent the picture to the dermatologist I see once a year because of previous trouble with melanoma.
He said to come in and he would biopsy it.
Drove back to Colorado for the appointment on March 15th.
The doctor could not find the spot. It was gone.
Luckier than Caesar I am.

Phew.

Mrs pj was concerned about a dark spot on my back. She took a picture. Then she took a blue sharpie and drew a smiley face around it. The doctor said it was a keratosis and froze it off.

I’ve had a melanoma removed. So glad I have a checkup with the dermatologist twice a year.

On the 30th my head will get a "blue light" treatment. They will put something on my head that will reveal pre-cancerous growths that are too small to be seen otherwise.
The other day I got the frozen nitrogen treatment on the keratosis (keratoses?) that are there now.

Does that come with an announcement that starts "attention K-Mart shoppers"?

You know it's an older crowd when we can all talk about removing things from skin!

But I wonder if the younger crowd has learned to stay out of the sun.
