Does a muscle relaxer affect finger strength and dexterity?
I sure hope that the muscle relaxer drug I am taking is responsible for my lack of "strength" and "dexterity " while playing the guitar or piano.

Anyone have any experience with this?

I think I found an answer. Basically, Yes.

it's technically a sedative (cyclobenzaprine) and has the properties of a sedative. i try never to take it when i'm not about to go to sleep.

Just tried a few things on the piano. Pinky is so weak, it can barely make the key sound. Lots of rolling of the wrist just to get it to sound decent.

I tried a few slow things and even then, my fingers feel the same way they do when I have had a few too many drinks.

Now you get to play everything adagio…or even lento.

Hope you’re feeling better soon!
