They've already identified a bunch of the key protestors.

They're not exactly making themselves hard to find.

I think they think this is some kind of glory moment and they are reveling in their 15 minutes of fame. Wonder if they realize it's going to be followed by 15 years in prison.

(Also, had the thought that the reason no one has been arrested and probably won't be until Trump is out of office is because he'd probably pardon them all.)

Is it, though?

These people were treated differently by law enforcement yesterday. Is there some reason to believe they won't be treated differently by the courts?

They were treated differently by some of the police, others did not "get the memo" or something. One rioter was shot.

I’m wondering if any of them will ever be arrested.

I also find it odd that no one is talking about the bombs.

I do kind of think they are not arresting people until Trump leaves office and can't pardon them. Otherwise, what would prevent him from pardoning everyone who rioted in his name.

I agree that they were treated differently. The first thing I said when I saw the video of the mob storming up the capitol steps was "if those people were black lives matter protestors, they'd mow the whole lot of them down with machine guns." What a bunch of bs all around.

I have to believe that once Biden takes over, there will be arrests and prosecutions for this.

A man photographed casually sitting with his foot on a desk in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office at the U.S. Capitol while a pro-Trump mob rampaged the halls of Congress was arrested Friday, law enforcement officials said.

Richard Barnett, 60, of Gravette, Arkansas, was taken into custody in his home state on federal charges of entering and remaining on restricted grounds, violent entry and theft of public property, according to a Department of Justice official. Further details were not immediately available.

They appear to be arresting them--the question is, are they going to stick with charges of trespassing or ramp it up. I've heard folks say that they will hold off on the big charges until after trump is out, so he can't pardon them. I have no idea if that's real or not.

Apparently the shirtless horned guy is a fixture on the far right protest circuit in Arizona. Why am I not surprised?
