Perhaps better to say, "some scientists think tool-like stones suggest a possible human presence from before the glacial maximum. Other scientists think the evidence is too weak to support any conclusion at this point."

True.
I hope better evidence is found. My religious mother learned that I had read everything I could find in the local library about the earliest man. She discouraged that in a big way.

A Phillips or a crescent wrench would be good, but something more primitive would be ok.

For now we must await for Doug.
