I am no longer a virgin....
... a COVID test virgin, that is. I needed to get one before a minor medical procedure (OK, it was time for my colonoscopy). Yikes, that is a bizarre event.

It wasn't painful at all, but it wasn't pleasant. It was such a weird sensation to feel the swab way up into (I guess) your prefrontal cortex sinus cavity.

How many of you have had the nasal swab test?

I had two, both were not the high, tickle your brain sorts..just nasal.

The last was for my colonoscopy...I was so impressed by the hospital for the whole procedure. I was in and out in no time, little contact..felt very safe. Yes

The one I got was barely inside of my nose. I got the results in 15 minutes.

Yeah, I'm keeping an eye on daily infection numbers in my area... Chicago is down from over 600/day last week to 525. Still too high to "get back to normal" - whatever that is!

I had the tickle your brain one. Not pleasant at all.

I’ve had two, the first with a hard tipped cotton swab that was really unpleasant and the second with a weird feathery plastic thing that had my eyes watering and me sneezing big time after. Both went up really far. Yuck.

I had one Saturday. Just inside the nose.

At a drive through Rite Aid site but it was self-administered. I was surprised by that.

Got results Sunday - negative.

I scheduled it because I had a sore through and mild fatigue.

I’ve had the tickle your brain once, and then other than that I’ve been doing the spit test once a week since ... I think since early Jan. I’m required to by my uni.

I am very grateful that they switched to the spit test before they made weekly testing mandatory for us! That tickle your brain thing was awful!

Extra glad for good results.

FWIW I too got a DIY Covid test at a Rite Aide drive-through.

Same. It was before a medical procedure that was not a colonoscopy.

Had the double swabbie test about 3 weeks ago after I spiked a high fever. Who knew you could shove something so far up your nose it would produce a gag reflex?

Negative results by the way. No clue what it was that knocked me on my butt.
