That thought crossed my mind. Which is worse for his fragile ego? impeachment or resignation "for health reasons and to spend more time with the family."
He won't be impeached (no way will the Senate do that), but going through the Senate trial can't be fun. Just this part alone seems to have cost him--I can see how the stress might have exacerbated pre-existing health issues.
