Another AirBnB candidate, and this one has a little sand beach. I’m not crazy about the town it’s in but it sits way back from the road and the houses along that stretch are very nice. It’s a period fixer for sure. Modern farmhouse, anyone? 3180 E. Lake Road

Clearly a tired leftover from the 1950s, kinda like me. You've said you love projects. I think you found one. (aside) What's with the Great Army of the Republic Highway on the map?

So, having just moved out of a house built in 1960… I feel like these older houses need constant monitoring, so they do best when someone lives in them all the time and can see where the issues are. IOW, to me, this house looks like it might be hiding a lot of problems under the hood. How would you find all the problems if you didn’t live in it? Also do you have idea of the demand for AirBnB in this area? It looks like it would need so much updating, just in terms of interior, that I would worry about the ROI. How far of a drive is it from where you live?

I don't like the style but have nothing to say about the investment potential. | |||

The Google map on the realtor.com page shows the street that it's on, and it has the Grand Army name.

Ha! Apparently that’s the official name for Erie Ave because it’s actually part of US Hwy 6. Hwy 6 runs coast to coast and was renamed to honor Union Civil War veterans. Who knew?

My wife, I and my brother-in-law's widow did a driving tour across most of US Route 6 in Pennsylvania about three years ago. There are a lot of interesting things on or near the highway and there are signs identifying it as the Grand Army of the Republic Highway with some regularity. Big Al
