We got an email from the provost today, giving us a pep talk about the shift to online classes. The letter was perfectly fine, but the juxtaposition between the concluding sentence in one paragraph and the topic sentence of the next made me laugh out loud.

"Communicate with them. Be honest and be kind.

We recognize that this is a significant adjustment for you and for students...."
