What's that about!? Is he referring to Democrats?

Maybe calling Individual 1 a racist and a futhermocker.

That’s all I can think of.

"Action will be taken"

I predict they will all get together over some expensive single-malt and smoke some cigars...

That should just about cover it!

I heard that McCarthy said he's going to sit down with him and have a talk about his future in the Republican Party.

I'm not sure that even the Congressional Black Caucus is going to ask for much more. I heard today that the head of the CBC is going to introduce a motion of censure. If that wrist slap is all they're going for, they really can't criticize the inaction of others.

From Politico:

quote:
Separately, the CBC over the weekend demanded King be stripped of his committee assignments. King currently serves on the Judiciary, Agriculture and Small Business panels.

OK, that's a little more. A lot more.

However, Politico also reports this:

quote:
House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.), the highest ranking African American in Congress, is also planning to introduce a resolution of disapproval in response to King, although it wouldn’t go as far as censure.

* * * *

But Clyburn said a censure motion against King would be an overreach in his opinion.

“I don’t think we in the House should be censuring somebody for what he said to a reporter,” Clyburn said Monday afternoon. “If it was something he said on the House floor, yeah maybe.”

All you skeptics are going to need to eat a little crow. The REPUBLICANS stripped him of committee assignments.

That's a start. And what took them so long? King has been elected, what, nine times? And he's been spewing racist carp for decades.

Yeah, he must be wondering that too.

I wonder whether the difference is the changeover from Paul Ryan to Kevin McCarthy.

I suppose King's defense could be "what? I've been touting white supremacy and supporting neo-nazis for years and nobody ever told me it was wrong."
