As someone who earned my red belt and was working on bo-black belt before a busted ACL intervened, I know how much work is involved in advancing through all of those belt levels.

Just FYI, for a blue belt (when I did it), you had to do a four board break routine as a small part of the test. Sort of like this one ...

She misses the first break ... that really hurts. In our system you had to do two hand breaks and two kick breaks.

Now imagine commander bone spurs risking a broken bone in his hand/wrist/arm to learn the technique.
