Similar story here in suburban Chicago. Another article said they were aware of the virus and decided to get together, but avoided close contact, hugs, and even shaking hands.
Perhaps the vocal folds are efficient at creating a finely dispersed mist... Not good news for those of us in choirs wondering when we will be able to sing together again!
