This was a PR campaign whereby young women were featured on placards in the subway cars in NYC. My Dad's sisters, The Keeler Twins, identical twins, were featured... Miss Subways The placards were cardboard and have two sides..so they could flip them the next month. My cousin came for a visit this week and gave me a copy of our beloved aunts, Miss Subways in 1958. I took it to the framer today...My Dad LOVED the copy he had.. You can see an original upstairs at Ellen's Stardust Diner in Times Square So fun..

The good old days. Today similar posters would draw stalkers.

Miss Subways were pretty diverse for their time. Miss Subways Interviews What I love about them is not just their looks or diversity..they did have many bios that included their college studies.

Very forward thinking for the time. I liked “two cigarettes in a pack”.
