Removing Kate Smith

The analogy isn't perfect, but ...

Should we remove Wagner from the repertoire? Arguably his racism was deeper and the links between his work and Nazi glorification are very clear and pertinent. Yet "we" wouldn't dream of doing this to such important "art." Even the Israelis are letting go of the taboo, and they've got a pretty strong case for maintaining it.
