We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to loveā€¦ and then we return home. - Australian Aboriginal proverb

My fantasy has always been to take the train from Sydney to Perth - 6 days of near total isolation. Laptop, 6 or so novels I've been dying to read, just unplug from everything and stare out the window, get off for some chips and beer when the train stops at nondescript outback stations.

The aussies think I'm nutz.

Trans-Siberian Express

There is a movie starring Woody Harrelson of a trip on the Trans-Siberian Express. Some of the dialogue is so bad the crowd roars at it.

I did activities like that when I was younger. Train trips. Bus trips. Road trips. Too many trips on planes to count or remember.

I, at [almost] 55 year old, have been a nomad since I was 2.

Enough!
