When I can, I have used boiling water on want hiles/openings.

I have a recent problem of little red ants. Swear I didn't used to have them but now they go into my shoes and bite. Bad bites. They hurt at first, then they itch and hurt.

Horrid things. Got do something. Boiling water doesn't go well with expensive plants around!

Oh, in the house in the past, I have used straight borax. Kitty safety. Thank goodness none around inside now but...

I get at least 1 if not 2 times a year, flies. G D Flies. I don't know here they come from but the go to the two kitchen windows. Don't seem to be from the cellar. I get like 20 at a time. The next day another 20 and on forvabout a week. I don't have a garbage disposal, don't keep open garbage. They are not in the rubbish, kitty dish, under the sink. Grrrr.

I vacuum them up when they are quiet ...first thing in the morn, just before dark...or chase them during the day when they are active.

No the fly catchers don't do much to help.
