What is the Great Flyover Missing?

Read that much of the tendency toward fascism in the central part of the US is due to the fact that they are
being neglected by the government.
What are they not getting? The ridiculous real estate prices? The impossible traffic?

Have read that here and there, sometimes in columns telling the Democrats what they should be doing.

If by the "middle of the country" you mean the Midwest, I think their beef is the loss of well-paying union jobs in manufacturing.

If by flyover you mean in the intermountain West, their gripe is that the rest of the country doesn't share their values. Their societies were formed by rugged individualists who did it all on their own and think everyone else should, too. They have zero understanding of how most of our population lives. T.S. I say.

If by flyover country you mean the inland South, well, again, it's a values problem--they don't like civil rights and immigration because they are racists.
