I'm glad the authorities took those sexual assault seriously. It would be very upsetting for some perve to sneak up and kiss you on your butt.

It shows society has made a great deal of progress in how we view sexual assault. It wasn't so long ago that people would have thought such a thing was funny, and no harm done, and boys will be boys.

Can one agree that it is upsetting and to be taken seriously as sexual assault, and yet see the humor in it? Sometimes unacceptable things are funny.

Maybe. If it were an SNL skit, I might think it was funny.

Once there is a real victim, it becomes less funny to me.

But my point is the larger one: I'm glad the prosecutors and police didn't think it was funny. That's real progress.
