For over 10 years, millions of emails associated with the US military have been getting sent to Mali, a West African country allied with Russia, due to a typo, according to a report from the Financial Times. Instead of appending the military’s .MIL domain to their recipient’s email address, people frequently type .ML, the country identifier for Mali, by mistake.

That reminds me of how many websites are maintained to intercept web log-ins where the web address is misspelled.
I recently encountered one when I mistyped a web address for a medical system I deal with. It was only because I noticed a slight difference from the site I had expected to arrive at that I did not enter my log-in information. It was otherwise very deceptive.
