Saw her live once. It was after she started into the jazz sphere. Jaco Pastorius played bass.
A joint came down the row. I took a puff and was wiped out. Had never known such strong stuff.
Have listened to Blue, Court and Spark, and Big Yellow Taxi many times.
Have not thought of myself as a pop music fan. I was at one time.
Mingus was a milestone album. I like it. Ignorant of jazz. I did not continue buying her music. I should have and may correct that soon.
