Bernard's suggestion is a great one; it's amazing how much difference switching out the hardware can make. Since Mr SK is proving to be a quick study on these home improvement projects, he might want to consider swapping out the hinges, too!

Mr. SK was pretty methodical about picking the colors. He laid them all out, moved them around before affixing anything. And he has a very good eye for that kind of thing.
