Picked up one of the wine advent calendar boxes at Costco today. Thought it would be fun!

I understand these fly off the shelves, so we lucked out finding a big stack of them....some of the folks who comment on this blog weren't impressed with the wines, but others seemed to like them.

If the wines are enjoyable that's a great price. They don't have to be fantastic.

Oh...just noticed they are half bottles. Not such a great price, but still fun.

We tried the Cycles Gladiator Chardonnay and really liked it. I'm not a fan of really oaky chardonnays, so this one was right up my alley.

Lots of fun!

We started on December 1st and have been opening and splitting a bottle each evening. Out of the seven we've had, we've enjoyed six of them and one was kinda meh. Don't know if I'll buy them again, but we're having fun this year trying a bunch of different wines.

And....special celebration tonight....myChart message from mr wtg's doctor regarding the cytology results from last Friday's visit....."Cytology looks great. Josh."

happydance

We finished the Advent calendar box of wines. They were OK, but wouldn't do them again.

This guy did a review of each wine in the box. He, too, was underwhelmed.

Boy, he really didn't like it.

I just put in my first-ever order for one of his wine deals, an Oregon Pinot Noir. We will see.

Which Oregon pinot noir are you getting?

2017 J. Christopher Volcanique Pinot Noir. I've not ordered any of the Reverse Wine Snob's stuff before, so we will see if their palate works for me.

I have not heard of this one before. Let me know what you think! Brooks is one of my favorites. Archery Summit, Brick House. All from around the same area.
