wtgHow about this house? (Tudor edition)
In my younger youth I wanted a house of this architectural style...it's in the most "desirable" area of my town. Doesn't appeal as much these days...am checking out ranches instead...
Oh, and when I was a kid, I would have killed for that bunk bed arrangement, the one with the desk in the cubby underneath.

Mary AnnaI wasn't familiar with that style until I moved to Kentucky, where there was a number of them. Very cool house.
I too would have killed for that bunk/desk/shelf combo. I got something similar for my son, but it was two bunk beds with a chest at the foot. He would have killed for the guitars and guitar room in that house, and he would still.
Please do not tell Quirt about the wagon wheel chandelier. We've already had a conversation about those.

big alI don't see much of anything to not like about that house (except as you say, it is not single level, which has become more appealing to me).
The guitar collection is an excellent part of the current decor. I have friends who are both musicians and they have various instruments hanging all around the house and leaning in corners, but not so elegantly displayed as that.

CHASNo, the guitars are electric and there are no banjos.
I do like the exterior, it is a lot like my grandfather's house.

piquénice house. but i've always disliked the tudor style. to me it looks very pretentious.
now when i was in europe and this was the predominant style in villages that went back centuries--it was lovely.

DanielMany architectural styles can be emulated but this one doesn't translate well to me for some reason.
