DanielMy health news (not great)
I weighed myself today at 126 and a fraction.
To put this in perspective--
I weighed 138.8 for several months up until at least two weeks ago.
I had dropped from 160+.
131 is the lowest I've weighed as an adult until today. That was a stressful time when I dropped from 151 to 131 in 6 months.
I weighed 115 when I was 17.
I became depressed and frankly was on the verge of panic when I read the scale. I weighed myself again and got the same number.
RM told me he is leaving me here at our home where I can't pay the bills myself right after this happened. He said he's not going to sue for partition. He's made both threats over the last year.
I have an appointment to rule out cancer. I have an appointment with my Dr. I could move up but I can't see him until I do labs. It would be stupid to see him without doing labs first anyway.
I'm trying to think how my situation will continue and what the end will be.

Piano*DadI'm not a doctor, but I know that stress and depression highly correlate with weight loss. But you should discuss the whole situation with your PCP.
I was 117 at 17. Very skinny 5'9". I'm now about 148 and much better proportioned. Weight training will do that. How tall are you? ... i.e. BMI.

Piano*DadYep. Stone cold normal. But the quick change is what is worrying.

MikhailohI'm with PD. It sounds like your home situation might well be a big factor. Has your appetite been suppressed?

big alHopefully, the lab work and doctor's visit will identify any underlying cause for your sudden change in weight. The unknown is often the most frightening thing to contend with.
In any event, I wish you the best in whatever is ahead.

jon-nycDaniel - im horribly sorry to hear that news. Material weight loss was the early indicator of my diagnosis (which I missed at the time). Thankfully you’re looking into it. Assume nothing, find the cause.
