I'm thinking that the guy actually came to the house to tune that piano (is it a Mathushek? Perhaps it is!) but when he saw all of the carp he was going to have to take off of the top of it he decided to take a photo instead.

Wow, I had no idea. I've always liked the look, but never even thought about the kneeboard. You'd think that they'd make a two piece kneeboard in this case.

The screws at the top of the one I service were no problem, but the bottom has two brackets that attach under the piano. Teeeny nuts and bolts, no clearance - adds more than a few minutes if I want to go chasing after that mute that fell behind the action!!
