The Alexander Piano - A Record of Construction

This 33 page booklet written by retired piano technician Stephen Newman is a record of one of the most unbelievable events where a young man built a piano at the age of 20.
Not just any ordinary piano, Adrian Mann built the largest grand piano ever with no professional help and arrived at the targeted goal from quite a different angle pursuing sound rather than a record.

A piano that experts said wouldn’t work!

The Gaveau Swan Piano, An Important Neoclassical Painted and Parcel-Gilt Piano
Gaveau, established in 1847, was one of Europe's most pre-eminent piano manufacturers known for its technical innovation and quality of production. The world famous ‘Salle Gaveau’, commissioned in 1905, is still used for piano competitions and concerts today.
Gaveau was particularly renowned for its finely crafted art cases, and the present example was almost certainly created as an exhibition piece or a special commission.

If you want it it appears to available from Adrian Alan

Looks a little too "Churchy" for me, but nonetheless, pretty cool!
