Some of us have GAINED SEVEN POUNDS since the start of this thread about a year and a half ago. Or, for a better visual, have gone like this:
my weight over the past few years

Day 3 of the "OMG, I've been eating like there's no tomorrow since November 23rd" diet, I could barely get into my riding breeches this morning. Last night, I had a major carbohydrate withdrawl headache. Gads.

I know what you mean, Jodi. Since I shaved, I now have a shortcut for checking my weight. I just count my chins every morning. It sounds better when I say "I'm only up two this year..."

Grapefruit for dessert really doesn't cut it, you know?

Day 4 of the "OMGIBELTNTSNTT" diet.

Day 6 and it's getting better. Last night was the first night I didn't go to bed with a headache. Things that don't normally taste sweet to me taste sweet. And things that didn't do it for me in the sweet category (a few bites of banana, and some yogurt, for example) almost feel like a treat. (that's kind of sad, if you think about it) I've sworn off alcohol, as well as caffinated tea - and I don't miss either of those things. Not sure why. I did a depressing thing today I set up a tripod and photographed myself - front, back and side - with a plan to do that every day, hopefully to start seeing some progress. If you want to completely freak out, photograph yourself in really tight lavender and grey spandex from behind. Blink It is not a pretty sight. But it's the only thing I can think of to convince myself to keep going. I'm down 3.5 pounds. Not sure if anybody out there is still reading this thread, but that's ok by me. It kind of helps to just write it down.

I'm still reading. I take it you're not going to post the pictures, jodi?

I only weigh myself once a week. We'll see tomorrow how I'm doing...

WTG, Jodi. To be honest - I'm afraid to get on the scales. I'm still WAY down from when we started this whole thing, but I know I lost some ground (read gained some pounds) over the holidays. Some of my skinny jeans are no longer quite so comfy. Therefore, I will not get on the scales until they are comfy again and then we will see. I'm going to Seattle to visit AL in February so I need some leeway for yummy Seattle dinners and decadence.

Mary Anna is going to be in Seattle in the beginning of February - PJ and I were going to try to get together with her, when are you going to be there?

Ha! I have lost yet another pound. This would bring the total up to two (2). I figure it took about a year to lose the first pound, and the second one only three or four months. I'll have to have Nina plot the data points, but this would appear to be a geometric, rather than linear progression.

At this rate, the ten or eleven I am looking to lose could be gone in a matter of days. Do I need to worry that it will go so fast that I will be dangerously underweight?

We will not discuss, at this time, how many times I have lost this particular pound....

What the heck are you doing, Jodi? A pound and a half a day is a heck of a pace...
