O Canada! We can thank our neighbors to the north for that. You may be right--I hadn't thought of that. The Iran situation is also playing into that.


Oil from Canada is still an import, though not from the middle east. 2020 may be the year that the US becomes a net exporter of oil. We've been a net exporter from much of the last quarter of 2019. This has reshaped the "national interest."
